Movies To Video Games ReviewsReview #21–This is a Fan Requested Review–Tomorrow Never Dies, for the Sony Playstation, is fully reviewed and analyzed as compared to the actual movie itself.Feel free to comment. More movies to video games reviews coming soon.. suggestions and feedback welcome and encouraged.REVISED: Edited the two names I totally muffed up. Q’s actor I can deal with but the Brosnan one I think was not acceptable and I redid it.To save on space and time in the video, the score tallies and descriptions of how I got to the scores are listed here instead. They are on a 1-10 scale with 10 being the best score possible:Story Accuracy to the Movie 6.0(For the most part it goes to the same locations and situations that the movie followed. But it also will go on many tangents that have nothing to do with the movie. Like skiing and an unrelated BMW shoot em up stages. It has the flavor of the story and even lines and scenes from the film but it really lacks in the over all picture as far as complete accuracy go.)Music Soundtrack Accuracy to the Movie’s 5.5(Tomorrow Never Dies theme and video are all here and found. And that is cool to see. The rest is pretty generic Bond’s type of music playing. The music isn’t bad but it isn’t accurate to the movie in many points, but also does have a lot of the classic Bond movie music score type sounds found. So not bad.)Game Difficulty 4.5(The game starts off pretty easy . It isn’t until about half way through that you start to die a lot and notice how cheap the enemies are getting suddenly. The awful play control makes things even worse due to how hard it is to line up shots or do actions. Its pretty middle of the road though for the most part. )Overall Fun 4.5(The first time through the game is kinda fun. Any fan of a good shoot em up in the 007 style will find fun here the first go around. After that though the replayability is almost non existant. Its fun for what it is but that’s the problem, it should have been much much more then it turns out to be and that leaves a pretty sub par experience.)Final Score 5.25Average
Movies To Video Games ReviewsReview #22–This is a Fan Requested Review–Madagascar for the PC, Nintendo GameCube, Sony Playstation 2 and Microsoft XboX, is fully reviewed and analyzed as compared to the actual movie itself.Feel free to comment. More movies to video games reviews coming soon.. suggestions and feedback welcome and encouraged. To save on space and time in the video, the score tallies and descriptions of how I got to the scores are listed here instead. They are on a 1-10 scale with 10 being the best score possible:Story Accuracy to the Movie 6.5(Not too bad. All the locations and situations from the film seem to show up in either cutscene or by the path of the game. But once we get to said locations and after the story elements are told to us things just get out of place and out of whack at times.)Music Soundtrack Accuracy to the Movie’s 1.5(This is very disappointing. There is really nothing from the film found here music wise. I like to Move it is also missing replaced by generic repetitive beats that we hear. I really wish Activision would go for the music from the movies. If you are to do a game based on a movie right, go all the way, not just part of the way to make the quick buck.)Game Difficulty 3.5(This gets a bad mark for being just too easy. I went through the whole game and really just died a few times and even then I had almost 20 extra characters to work with. I know the game is for kids but even they will find this way too easy. . )Overall Fun 5.5(Its fun in the fact that you do get to use 5 of the animal characters from the movie and even feel like its them as you are exploring about. And you will feel like you are in their world with the great level set ups. But thats where the fun ends really. The game is short and stages get dull and repetitive and the mini games are ho hum. Not enough going on to make this a great game.)Final Score: 5.75Average
Movies To Video Games ReviewsReview #24–This is a Fan Requested Review–Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie for the Sega Genesis (GEN) is fully reviewed and analyzed as compared to the actual movie itself.Feel free to comment. More movies to video games reviews coming soon.. suggestions and feedback welcome and encouraged. To save on space and time in the video, the score tallies and descriptions of how I got to the scores are listed here instead. They are on a 1-10 scale with 10 being the best score possible:Story Accuracy to the Movie 6.0(The first, second and last stage and even the ending related well to the movie. What hurts this score greatly is the fact that three stages only relate to episodes of the TV show episodes.)Music Soundtrack Accuracy to the Movies 2.5(Every song but arguably the main theme, related only to TV show themes. Too bad as even the movie based stages should have had some songs from the huge soundtrack heard in the film..)Game Difficulty 6.0(With only 6 stages it is short and to the point but each stage is mostly separated into parts which include zord battles and time limit based goals to have to reach. So its middle of the road as far as difficulty goes. )Overall Fun 5.5(Power Ranger fans and even fans of the movie should get a kick out of this game. Its the best of the bunch as far as games related to this film. But to the casual or regular gamer it may not offer enough to keep them into it for long. The game can be beat in an hour and has some different zords and characters to use and that may bring em back for more but there are better beat em up games out there to play over this one on the Genesis..)Final Score: 6.00Average
Movies To Video Games ReviewsReview #8The Mummy Returns for the Game Boy Color is fully reviewed and analyzed as compared to the actual movie itself.Feel free to comment. More movies to video games reviews coming soon.. suggestions and feedback welcome and encouraged.Score break downs weren’t included in video to save on space and time and hard to read small text.. they are listed here and are based on a 1-10 score with 10 being the best. They are as follows:Story Accuracy to the Movie 3.0(Follows the movie’s storyline in cutscene descriptions. But that is the only plot we get at any point. If they didn’t text tell us what was going on we would have no clue as nothing looks like what it is supposed to be in this graphically bad game. There are no cut scenes and a few fun moments from the film were missing.)Music Soundtrack Accuracy to the Movie’s 1.0(Hard to tell what the music is. It sounds so badly done even for a Game Boy Color game that you have to strain to listen to it. The flavor of the film’s music is there at points but at other points its just repetitive uninspiring music that we are hearing as we get through this.)Game Difficulty 3.0(The game is short making it not that hard. You can play it for an hour or two and beat the whole game. But the poor play control makes this game very hard and frustarting at points. The chase levels you will be doing countless times due to jump button not working when it should be .)Overall Fun 1.0(The game is not fun to play at any point. It is almost everything you don’t want to find in a movie adaptation, especially a hand held one. .)Final Score: 2.00BELOW AVERAGE
